Plain and Simple

Last week's post is all about being a rock star. Though it's not our everyday getup, we surely enjoyed dressing up as one. This week we thought of stepping it down a little, going back to basics, something easy going, mellow and amicable in nature.

For now, let's deviate from the intimidating word "fashion" and  think of something "wearable". The mere thought of the word "fashion" often puts stress and panic to us specially if you haven't got any idea of what to wear (I know a lot of ladies out there will agree with me on this one). What I usually do in these scenarios? I open my closet and look for something basic and staple for any season. Something that you can easily dress up or down to your liking. That's the benefit of knowing what to mix and match even before you buy an outfit. An outfit you can buy during this season, yet you can still update, use and style next summer. My advice, build a wardrobe not solely of the latest trends. Think of classic, versatile, fits well, and can easily be updated by adding a few accessories every given season.

What can be more basic than a simple white dress? Choose one that's well cut and fits you well. Then simply add a few garments to attain the look you're eyeing to. Here I covered it with a denim jacket - another must have for every closet. Accessorized the look with some white and gold - watch from Baby G, plus matching pearl and gold necklace and bracelet.

Now he decided to differ my outfit strikingly by wearing all black from head to toe. Black wayfarers, light knit top over a white v-neck shirt, black denim pants and high cut boots from Milanos. Pretty dark and stylish indeed.

Urban Landscape

Graffiti - part of the Hip Hop culture that's been misinterpreted by many. Some call it vandalism, I call it street art.

Art that cant be contained within frames or any usual canvas. Art that should be in the open to be seen, not to be restricted in a gallery.

Here Im wearing a simple plaid shirt with matching ragged shorts and a pair of DC flats. Edgy yet maintaining the feminine in me.

These were taken on one of the main roads going to BGC. Props to the artists for makin such wonderful masterpieces.

It's been a while since my last post, this is all for you loves. :)

Colorimetry

Getting bored with single color? Why not choose a colorful dress?

Its a great way to show off your playful sense of style and simply make you look great.

Colors will always make an ordinary day both captivating and fascinating.

Lovely stripes never get out of trend no matter what the season is.

Shades are from VanityandFashion. Very fashionable at a very convenient price. You can visit their Instagram account here.

What's perfect on a hot day? Jamba Juice! So refreshing with different boosters to choose from. If you're looking for fresh tasting smoothies, go for Banana berry. One of their best seller and my favorite. :)

All about Pink

Light and free! That is how a girl should feel specially on a relaxing and happy day like this.

Summer is almost here and the temperature is starting to rise, so wear something soft and comfy that will keep you look fresh and fashionably hot.

And let's not forget the oh so famous "le mustache". Wear some, to add a lil excitement on your getup.

Pink is the new black. Its the color that best describe freshness. Pink watch, pink shoes, and pink accessories. I say why not? :)

Something perfect for summer days when you feel a need to be feminine yet relaxed and comfortable.
Happy 1st of the month. :)
